Behavioral Health

We are dedicated to supporting the emotional and psychological well-being of families across Santa Barbara County.

Our Behavioral Health Services Department provides compassionate and culturally responsive mental health and therapeutic care to children enrolled in Head Start, and to pregnant mothers between the ages of 12 and 21, through the Adolescent Life Planning Program.

We understand the unique challenges that come with early parenthood and child development. This is why our team of highly qualified, licensed, bilingual, and bi-cultural therapists and mental health caseworkers, work closely with families to provide trauma-informed care, early intervention, and comprehensive case management services.

Our goals are to create a safe and supportive space, where children and young mothers can thrive-emotionally, socially, and developmentally. Whether you are seeking guidance, support, or healing, we are here to help you every step of the way.

Services include:
      • Individual, group, and family therapy
      • Comprehensive behavioral assessments
      • Parenting support and education
      • Pre-natal and mental health screenings
      • Case management and community referrals

Jenny's Story

“Before ALFP, I didn’t know how to care for my health

or my baby’s health. The program helped me with

medical appointments, learning how to advocate for

myself and my baby, and even helped me get a job in

the community. I am so grateful to my case manager

because now I have someone I can talk to about my

challenges, and I have a lot of support.”
